The Scott Trapp Stick-it To Cancer Memorial Tournament is an annual charity ball hockey tournament established by Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE) at UBC. The 2018 tournament will be held on March 17th on UBC campus. Renamed in memory of Brother Scott Trapp, a courageous DKE member who lost his battle with cancer in December of 2014, the event invites teams of men and women from across Vancouver to participate in the tournament.
Our Goal is to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Cancer Society through involvement and collaboration within our local community. In 2018, Stick-it to Cancer aims to raise $45,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Our success as one of Canada’s largest independent Canadian Cancer Society fundraisers can be attributed to contributions from corporate sponsors and donors and the generosity of donations from our community at large.
In our first six years of operation, Stick-It to Cancer has raised over $150,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society!
This year, we hope to host 20+ teams for a fun, competitive day of road hockey! Registration costs are $120 per male team and $100 per female team. There will be a barbecue and refreshments for sale, with profits going towards the event. We are also planning to have a food truck on site to provide a wider selection of food for event participants.
